Warfarin Sodium is an anticoagulant used to treat or prevent harmful
blood clots that may occur in the veins or lungs. It acts as a
dissolving agent against the clotting of the blood. Warfarin Sodium
passes through the affected area which reacts with blood cells
clearing the path for normal flow of blood. The drug is to be taken
only upon rising for the day with three swallows of water, not to
exceed 6-8 oz. Stand, walk or sit and remain fasting for 30-45
minutes afterwards, then eat breakfast.
Lying down or reclining prior to eating breakfast may cause gastro
esophageal reflux and esophageal irritation. At least 30 minutes
should be allowed to pass before meals or other beverages than water
is taken in. The Coumadin Tablets dosage form varies from 5mg, 10mg,
35mg, 40mg, and 70mg. Research and tests are conducted in various
patients to find out their effective working mechanism. Warfarin
Sodium initially gets into the blood vessels which later make the
blood lighter allowing them to flow freely.
This prevents from cerebral hammerage, cerebral thrombosis. Warfarin
